Mount Pisgah, at 700+ feet, is the tallest hill in Northborough, MA and one of the tallest in Berlin, MA. The hill is blanketed in forest, and the trails are fairly well-marked (one of the trails is a repurposed road used by carts when the land was farmed). There is a brook or two depending on which section you go to. There's a trail to the summit. The crown jewels of the "mountain", however, are the two overlooks, one on the northern side, the other on the southern side. Both overlooks face east towards Boston, but the city is obscured by other wooded ridges in the distance. From both overlooks, one gets a good idea of the ruralness of this hill range-laden part of the state. The northern overlook has an additional fun fact: it was named after Warren S. Read moreThe place was okey. I’d say it’s good for family’s or people with dogs looking to go for a quick walk. Easy hike but very confusing. Felt lost many times throughout it. Parking lot was small but I had no problem getting a spot. There was no trail map only two trails. One said loop trail other with blue markers. I took blue trail till I came to a rock wall and turned right which took me onto a yellow trail. You’ll come to a sign that says summit with a right arrow DONT GO THAT WAY, leads down and away from the lookout. Keep on the yellow trail and after about 1/2mile you will see the lookout spot. Read moreA great parking spot for the Mt. Pigsah trail system, good for at least 6-7 cars and right in the heart of this unique and suprisingly robust network of trails bordering Northboro and Clinton.
I have only ridden and ran in here a few times but I can tell that it's a gem filled with treasures for miles as I find more time to head out this way.
