Trashed Furniture & Art Studio — Attraction in Northfield Center Township

B-E-V! And no, I am not talking about the sangria that was provided. Bev is the amazing owner of this totally rad business we got to experience tonight. Lemme tell ya folks, she is absolutely fan-friggin-tastical! Not only is she pumped full of personality, she has true love for helping people make art.

Trashed is a pretty awesome place. I don't consider myself artsy. Crazy? Yes. Artsy? Hell to the no. But after Bev's 5 minutes pep talk, I felt like Peecaso (inside joke from inside the bathroom.) This cozy, colorful and really awesome space is comprised of items found in the trash. From the chairs, to the tables, to the recycled urine cups with used paint in them....it is all about taking old and making it new. I am in love with this concept!

Our table made canvas art, while another table did mosaic glass tiles and the back room did coffee mugs and wine glasses. Bev is all about creating art the way it comes out of your mind. No paint by number here folks. At first, I was horribly intimated. If you know me, this isn't easy...I have a slightly cough strong personality. But I am not kidding when I say that Bev really helps you realize that art is subjective. She is extremely encouraging and kind and she is someone I want to sit down with and have a glass of wine and joke with.

I made an abstract peace sign canvas while other people made actual art. I was absolutely flabbergasted (yes, I used that word) at the talent in this group of humans. Y'all totally are amazing! From Deb's elephant stemmed wine glass to Dan's canvas of pizza.... I was so excited to see all the finished artwork.

Bev also was such a sweetie and got us some yummy bites and amazing Sangrias. Seriously, this chick is the bomb diggity. We got a little gift bag with a free art coupon a cute little cake pop and the nice lady from another business in the building gave us 50% off her salon services! CAN I GET A WHAT WHAT?

This has to be one of my very favorite Yelp Elite events to date. I am so happy I got to experience it with the amazing humans I did....
