Beautiful park, especially for kids. Alot of parking spots when it's not too crowded there are bathrooms which are clean, a park, sand, basketball court, tennis court, running/biking trail very nicely put location it is our go to when we want to see nature and have some fun and exercise definitely recommend here! Whether you are alone with kids or a partner, it's great you can always picnic here they have tables

This Park has it all. Good Hike trail, Hills to get you that extra work out for your legs. There are soccer field, baseball field, tennis, badminton, camp grounds, kid play grounds and other recreational activity areas. They also have nice water views for fishing and enjoying the nature. You can get a good work out done here. Also the hill has some great eagle eye views of the neighborhood

Wood Oaks Park in Northbrook is an absolute gem! This park offers a serene and beautiful setting with its well-maintained green spaces and picturesque lake. Whether you’re looking to go for a jog, have a picnic, or simply relax, Wood Oaks Park has something for everyone.

The walking trails are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, and there’s plenty of open space for kids to run around and play. The playground is modern and safe, making it a hit with the younger visitors. There’s also a well-kept basketball court and tennis courts for those who enjoy sports.

One of the highlights is the lake, where you can often see people fishing or just enjoying the view. It’s a peaceful spot that’s great for unwinding. The park is clean, well-organized, and offers ample parking, which is always a plus.

Overall, Wood Oaks Park is a fantastic place to spend a day outdoors, whether you’re alone, with family, or with friends. Highly recommend visiting if you’re...

Labor Day in the green space had couples playing tennis, athletes bounding up and down the sled hill, couples holding hands on the shade, and everyone else walking, jogging, or rollerblading on the nicely paved path that makes a ribbon around and through the park.

Plenty of parking off Sanders Road, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere makes the park a jewel in the Northbrook suburb. You do hear a bit of traffic from 294 as cars whizz by, but really that's only if you're on the south end of the hill flanking the highway.

I am not a fisherman, but I did see a number of poles going on the retention pond--not sure of their success, but looked fun.

One final note, this park is great in the winter, too. Just when you've had it with cabin fever, jump over here to fresh...

We visited today for a group run with my boxer partners as we were racially profiled by one of its workers. As we were stretching before we began our run, he came by us and circled around us, staring at us . I then asked him if he needed help and he dais no and waked away. Got on his phone, and shortly after, a punk up from the park district began following us during our run, and after noticing, we were running the left. This type of behavior is unexectable as they were plenty of people running and they single picked us out of everyone. Mind you, 2 of us are in the force. We will continue to do our runs here, but we will also report this and post this to make others aware. They need to focus their energy...
