Riverview Picnic Area — Attraction in Northfield

My family takes a trip out here every year to walk the bridge and visit the park. Never more than a few people here. In the summer they do boat rides on the Connecticut River, you need to visit the Visitor's Center down the road to purchase tickets. There is a large pavilion that you can rent for gatherings. Riverview Park provides Connecticut River access, Trails & Picnic Area. On the South side of the Park is the discharge of the 1GW Firstlight Northfield Mt Pump Storage Project. When boating stay away from the Tailrace marked by orange floating booms, the project is most likely to operate in the afternoon of a extremely warm day during peak electric grid load.

Great spot to head with the family or friends for a casual hangout or even a birthday party. A bunch of picnic areas that include bench and table as well as a grill. Some trees also cover a majority of the area if your wondering, so gives you so some nice shade on those really hot days. And a few spots are uncovered to the sun. Opened bathrooms. Also surrounded by water and a few docks to go fishing from or get on a kayak. Well...
