Absolutely love this Metro Park! There’s also a playground here on the beach. Do note, if you haven’t been here in awhile, they have changed the flow of traffic. To get to the boating side of the lake you need to enter In from a different spot. They’ve been putting some money into the place though, making all sorts of improvements! Pro tip, if you’re a parent, or if you like frogs, go here in the spring and summer time, if you walk the short trail there’s a little pond you pass along the way, and it gets absolutely brimmingly full with frogs, quite a fun time with the kiddo!! I absolutely recommend going here. Also idk if they still do them but the guided night tours here were amazing.

Great place to play Pokemon, way over fished. Very nice park though. It's big and convenient access from all over. Lots of very nice trails and everything is very well maintained. It has horse trails, nature hikes in the fall, swimming on a lifeguard beach, kayak rentals, cross country trails, multiple ponds and tons of wildlife! It's worth going for all kinds of reasons but it is beautiful. It also has the best free archery range around with a raised deck and multiple lanes. It's a great place, check it out any time of year and you'll be happy you did :)

I loved the park itself. However, the trails are pretty short and all connected despite the amount of space here. It was definitely pretty crowded and I saw the same people several times just going different routes. I am extremely sad that such a nice beach is not open. I definitely would be back to swim and kayak. The facilities are all so nice and new to just be abandoned the way they are.

Went on Saturday to kayak. Nice drop in and take out. Some ducks and geese hanging around this area, so their is a good amount of goose poop. The water isn't clear, lots of algae and only couple feet in spots. A short trip for kayakers. The fish seemed plenty with a lot of people fishing. No one on the beach side even though it was almost 90 out. Wish the water quality was better.

A bit muddy today after the rain/snow, but I always enjoy going to this park. Lots of different scenery. I have always taken the Chippewa Lake and I like how it has so many things to offer: view of the beach, pine trees, beautiful red barn, sunny fields, I could go on. One part of the trail goes through the woods and normally, it's mulched, so it helps a lot when it's muddy.
