This park sucks! Today near dusk I was running with my 2 dogs when the park patrol van honked loudly in my direction and told me to leave. I jogged toward the quickest route possible, back into the park in the dog area. I had my headphones on. A police car somewhere else in the park sped up and blocked my path. Unknown to me I was also being followed by the patrol van. Mind you the time was 8:20 pm and sunset is 8:19. The Park guy yelled at me and told me to never bring my dogs around the side area and I could get 100$ fine per dog. The police officer told me to get out! This is the nastiest park. Never come here. They don't want you or your dogs. You would do better at Taylor Farm or somewhere else. I have been to many parks in my life, but this is the rudest most disgusting treatment ever.
Also, most weekends are generally packed with people strangling their dogs with leashes because they don't know how to train their dogs. If you can stand the obnoxious rules about immediately leaving at the prescribed time, people rudely strangling their untrained pitbulls, the loud club music on the weekends, then go for it! But for real, you want to corner me and my two dogs, yell at me and threaten me with a $200 fine for jogging with my dogs along the path? Give me a break! You people are Path-Etic!
Noone should be treated the way I was. Even if I was there one minute late, no normal person gets angry at a female jogger with her dogs. This place...
Read moreI can’t understand how this place has nearly 5 stars. We took our dog there this past Sunday since as per the reviews it was a “dog friendly” park. Instead we found ourselves being harassed by this old gentleman in a white car who supposedly worked there. From the minute we walked in until the minute we left, this old man kept telling us our dog was not allowed in most of the park. The signs in this park are not clear enough. HE WARNED US WITH A $90 fine just because our dog ran in the grass for less than a minute. We later learned that this man harasses all dog owners according to another couple who witnessed the man yelling at us constantly. Not worth your time and your money. Definitely not a pet friendly park. Hopefully they give this guy a warning since we are not the only ones to complain about him. Stay away from this park if you can, especially if you plan to bring your dog here. Harassment is...
Read moreAs a full-time wedding photographer Gallaher Mansion and Cranbury Park hold a special spot in my heart as my first wedding many years ago! Since then I have photographed more including everything from engagement photos to family sessions and even a Quinceañera here. It is a lovely spot from the spring to the summer and the fall, with the last probably being my favorite time. The foliage is exceptional, and if you love a moody and nostalgic vibe to photos, it is really hard to beat. The best aspect might be all the various features from the mansion itself to the trees and even the large open space with huge stairs, a big open field, beautiful walkways and more. I cannot wait to photograph more weddings here plus engagements in every month of the year.
