This is more of a warning to others than a review. I've smelled gas up here for years as this is the closest hiking spot to me. After being out of state and coming back after three years, I realized the smell had gotten worse. I started investigating and found a deteriorated marker pole and a pipe. I contacted someone and he said he contacted the company responsible. I was here again today and noticed something off. I looked around and saw the gas in the water. Then I noticed a sound, started looking around and saw bubbling in the water. That's when i got out of there as that confirmed my suspicion of a leak. I came across a man from a utility company, he stated the line was not his but he would call it in. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here until this is taken care of. Gas leaks are detrimental to health, the environment and creates a risk of explosion. The fact that this has been going on for so long and nothing had been done is disappointing. This is a commonly walked trail and there are always fresh tracks here so I find it unlikely the gas company had not been notified previously. This displays a complete disregard from the gas company for the safety of children and the public. It's sad, the lack of respect on the part of the gas company and their irresponsible behavior towards the upkeep of lines is ruining this...

We came here after visiting McConnell and looking for more (younger) kid-friendly creeks to splash in. A Kidsburgh article stated that nearly every portion of the creek is great for wading and I believe it! We entered the section by Hemlock trails and found a lot of broken glass though. We returned to the Creek a second day with water shoes and chose the section across from the huge beige slide: it had a few large flat rocks that other kids were using as slides. It had plenty of flatter rocky space next to the creek to walk on, along with deeper channels in the creek section to wade in. The playgrounds were a hit but the drop down toilets were not ideal for small children and my eldest would refuse to use them which created a challenge. The only downside of this park was that we'd arrive later on the day due to our schedule and then get rained out before we had our fill. What a treasure to have in the neighborhood and get to experience...

Nice place to go for a walk. Has plenty of parking and nice concrete pathway to walk on or ride a bike. I go there to walk my dogs up in the field or ride my bike on the pathway. It's not the best place to ride a bike mainly because of how many people walk their dogs along the pathway. I love my dogs like they're my children but having been ripped off my bike by somebody's dog before ending up in the emergency room I tend to get a little cautious around other dogs while I'm on my bike. Most people don't keep the leashes tight enough when somebody's coming by on a bike or they aren't paying attention and it makes me nervous. You have this problem with walking trails in general. Please be courteous to people on bikes and make sure your dog can't grab them. Mingo is a beautiful place though very nice I just go for a walk down there or ride a bike or walk your dog or...

Have you visited Mingo Creek County Park in Washington County, PA? If you enjoy covered bridges and a nice, easy paved path, this is a great place to visit. You can take a 3 mile paved trail and see two covered bridges. This park has playgrounds, a dog park, picnic shelters and creeks to fish and play in. There are more trails in the park if you are interested in a more challenging adventure. There is an 11.9 mile perimeter path. Washington County has 23 covered bridges, the second most of all counties in PA. I enjoyed checking out this beautiful park! #hikingpa #coveredbridges #washingtoncounty #mingocreek
