This is a primarily unoccupied and unused beach park. It is a private beach park owned by Dole for Dole functions and employees. THAT is what it is for. The Residents on either side believe it is THEIR private beach park and will come after you if you end up in this area. We were walking up from the beach to the road and you'd think we robbed a bank..

We did not intentionally travel to the park or occupy it, simply walked down the driveway (not grass) to the road from the beach, which is completely legal. We tried to explain we were just passing through but at least one resident was not having it screaming that you had to be a resident there (not correct) and we needed to "go back where we came from".

One member went to GO BACK to the beach to avoid the situation and the person lost their mind. Clearly they thought we came from the road, but we didn't. Signs are posted on the road that it is private property for Dole only.. but after speaking with the police, walking from the PUBLIC beach to the public road using the path was legal. Didn't loiter, didn't set up on the grass, didn't drive - simply transiting from the beach to the road to be on our way. No Aloha in this community.

The park basically sits there and is used by the adjacent residents (illegally if they want to play that game).. which I honestly don't care about since it's unused property and no one is there to cause problems to the park. Keeping homeless out - sure.. kicking a local family or kids out who want to enjoy a weekend on the beach when the other beaches are overcrowded by tourists? That's crazy. Either way, we were just passing through as long distance local hikers.. We didn't know it was private property since we came from the beach.

Stopping someone and asking why they are there and politely informing them it's private is one thing.. Being condescending and rude is another. It would have been easy to understand what was happening is screaming lady had any interest in listening and not...

A beautiful Beach. VERY few people here. We rented half of a Duplex right on this beach. Enjoying it for a full 16 mornings and evenings.

Our only issues were that this beach is a little bit steep. Roughly 45 degrees give or take! In the water is much better. I'm 6'2", and could walk out roughly 100feet, in the rougher late December swell before not touching bottom.

We also had fishermen on the beach one entire night. They came at 7pm, and left at 9:30am the next morning.

The rocky pictures are on the East end of the beach, looking...

I was there to attend a celebration of life of a family member. We used the patio/Pavillion on the ocean. Its an older structure but it satisfied the needs of the occasion. There were alot of parking and space to accommodate a large crowd. Some of our family camped over the weekend to set up, break down and celebrate. I wouldn't recommend this park ideally for swimming or sunbathing but for the views and to get away from the city and relax I would consider...
