I know my experience will seem rare counter to the others listed here but I do have to give credit where it is due. As someone who is highly critical of bureaucratic processes, I was not looking forward to having to go here to get a pass for visiting family we sponsored who will be staying at the Navy Lodge during the weekend (which is inconvenient if you need a pass issued by an office only open M-F). In preparation for their stay I tried to get all my info and ducks in a row beforehand but kept getting contradicting details. Long story short, Tammy (I am sorry if I have spelt her name wrong) went out of her way to make it a smoother process for me and our family, and even though we still encountered a little wait (background checks...it just is what it is), she provided a service that in my opinion went beyond even the private business sector. She raised our issue to the right person and got it done. Very appreciative of their willingness and ability to help us figure our situation out with minimal impact to our...

The older African-American civilian female working behind the counter barking orders at people and behaving atrociously and disrespectfully to military and civilian visitors alike is abhorrently uncalled for and a gross misrepresentation of both the joint base installation, and the Navy, in its entirety. You legitimately have to be careful what you say to them because it will affect how long they intend on making you wait. If you're perfectly courteous expect a wait of about 2 hours if there's no line. The building does serve its purpose though if the intention is to keep terrorists from getting on the base. If I were promised 72 virgins to deal with these people I would turn Allah down in...
