Great scenic hike with little crowding. Walk from parking lot to the point is about 3.5 miles each way. Beautiful views of the ocean the entire way. Bring plenty of water as there isn't any shade and some of the trails are rough. You can go through the predator fencing using any of the gates provided. Saw a lot of confusion from people thinking the fence was meant to keep people out but was built to protect nesting birds on the point. Also signs said it was a resting area for Hawaiian Monk Seals but we didn't see any. Only a slight incline going towards the point so nothing too serious. Definitely worth going if you want to get away...

Remember, this is a nature preserve though, so please be respectful of the trails, please clean up after yourself, and if you happen to see trash, be kind and pick it up. Let’s preserve this gem. If you hike here midday, it can get very hot so be...
