This was a wonderful experience. I was driving by on a sunday morning and saw the gate open so went in to find out what it was about. I was greeted by Val who took me into the open pavilion and introduced me to her husband Shad Kane. They seemed to be in charge at the moment. Shad took me for a tour of those archeological sites which have been cleared of brush. No excavation or restoration has been done. He imparted a tremendous amount of knowledge about pre-contact history and indigenous polynesian culture and life explaining each of the sites and plants and how they fit into the daily life of the people.
