Makakilo Community Park — Attraction in Oʻahu

This is a fantastic community park that offers a wide range of amenities and stunning views that make it a favorite for my family.

The park has well-maintained courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and pickleball. There’s also a large, open field perfect for soccer and baseball, allowing plenty of space for both organized games and casual play. There's also a kids' playground, a fun and safe place for children to explore and play.

Other thing I love about this park are the different classes they host for both kids & adults. From zumba,WORQ,walking club, arts & crafts to different sports & enrichment classes for kids. It really helps residents of Makakilo stay active and engaged.

Clean and accessible restrooms are available on-site, which is always a plus for extended visits. The scenic beauty of thid park is unforgettable. The panoramic views during the day are breathtaking, and the sunsets in the evening are truly spectacular.

I love this park!

There's a huge variety of things to do. 4 basketball rims (2 full courts), 4 tennis courts, 2 volleyball courts, a kids playground, a fitness area, and a large baseball/open field!

So far, it has been very clean and well kept. Other families have been there and you just get a very friendly, relaxed, and safe vibe from it all. I take my baby girl to the kiddy playground area and she loves it. The floor is cushioned and intact (some parks have giant holes in the floor).

One complaint is that I have sometimes seen a group of 3-5 teenagers hanging around in the parking lot smoking and generally causing some...

The neighborhood is anchored here at Makakilo Community Park. On any given Saturday you'll find kids softball or football. The spot is elevated just above the houses across the street meaning there's a nice strong breeze on even the hottest days. The relatively new and well maintained jungle gym and workout equipment are great for families and the rec center offers many classes and activities throughout the year including a summer fun program that's always a hit.
