Makaleha Bay Public Access Path — Attraction in Oʻahu

The entrance to the beach is not obvious at first, but it's right across from Dillingham Ranch. The cars parked on the side of the road should be a sign that you have arrived. Entrance is on your right if coming from town. Nice path in the middle of a ranch? Some horses to the right side, sometimes they come really close to the fence to say hi! So cute!!! The Makaleha Beach Park & Polo Beach Public Access Path is on the right side of the road as you drive north. On Farrington Hwy. it is easy to see, and there is sufficient space along the road to park; angle in to ensure you are off the road but leave space for others.

Both Makaleha and Polo Beach are very nice beaches, but not everyone is there to work on tanlines. Have fun at the beach of your choice and be sure to carry out...

Cars always getting broken into, tons of litter gets left on beach. Not a great place for kids cause under tow and current. Lots of sharks too. Big tiger shark patrols the shoreline.
