The beach itself is pretty small and very rocky but it's great for snorkeling and finding little critters. I would definitely recommend to visit at least once if you're able as the whole drive to get there is a cool experience in its own... You pass the retired and active military aircraft, airfield and base.
Unfortunately, people don't know how to pick up after themselves. There's a lot of trash, also a stinky runoff little stream that runs to the ocean on another side. There are a couple cabins that look a little rundown that military families can reserve.

Read moreThere are sharp rocks and trash everywhere. This is a 5 star beach, but people are not cleaning up after themselves, and it's pretty gross. Also, for anyone bringing small children, make sure they have foot protection. There are glass beer bottles in the water, and they can break at random times, so there is always a possibility of glass in the sand. In addition to that, there are fish hooks people leave even tho there is no fishing allowed. The rocks alone can be very sharp, so just make sure the little ones have protective foot wear on the beach and in the water. And PLEASE take your garbage with you when you leave!
