O'Day Park — Attraction in O’Fallon

Beautiful park. It is the most nature like non nature park I have ever seen. There are fake rocks and even fake grass and brooks. On one hand, the park is beautiful with overlooks of the forest and and incredibly we thought out, challenging, and engaging play area for kids and adults alike. On the other hand, there is almost no shade, and every artificial surface gets incredibly hot in the sun. Most of the play spaces are unusable if the sun is out because it hurts the kids skin. Great park for kids Conveniently located right off highway 40 and DD There is a water feature, climbing opportunities, slides, and something for kids of all ages We loved the areas for native plants and flowers. Great way to remind us that nature is beautiful and harmonious for wildlife and people to enjoy. There is a trail off the beaten path, but we didnt take it so I dont have a review of it The family pavilion is beautiful and well taken care of. Great Unique Park - I'd take older kids to the playground as some of the things to play on are probably not for babies and toddlers. Our cub scout pack used the group camping area and it was great! It's local and not to far of a drive. Plenty of things to do... play in the creek, go on a hike, visit the play ground. There are restrooms with flush-able toilets near by and also heated, no outhouses...
