Art Gecko Creative Studio — Attraction in O'Fallon

We went to the Strawberry Festival and saw there was face painting. There was no clear marking/sign whether we had to pay for it. I expected that when we walked in there might be another sign. There was a tiny piece of paper with a few pictures and numbers, no $ signs.

So this girl has her paint ready, and after my toddler has already sat down and chosen, she rudely states, “it’s $5.” She spends literally 3 seconds painting my 3 year old daughter’s face. My daughter hates it and wants a different one. Instead I was told that I would have to pay for a new painting because the girl “used materials”. Now I don’t know how expensive that paint is, but considering my daughter was sitting there crying because she hates it, it shouldn’t have been a big deal to repaint what she wanted.

My experience of Art Gecko has been excellent. I’ve seen them take pride in developing thought provoking iart classes for all different age groups. The young students that attend will leave with a beautiful project and be taught techniques (according to their age) that they can will have with them for a lifetime. My two daughters attend art class there on Thursdays and have for months. It's really cultivated a love for art. They bring home beautiful creations that I love putting up. I love the entire staff at Art Gecko. They are fantastic. The owner, Cory, is the kindest woman. She even introduced us to our current nanny who used to teach there. They are great people.
