This is my child's seconds year at O'Fallon Recs camps. Last year he attended Choo Choo which is age 3 to 5. He is now 6 and attends the Katy Cavins camp. Night and day difference let me tell you. The counselors for this age group are nothing like last year and completely un compasionate the directors are as well. My son loved it last year. No issues really besides losing his towel a few times or so. This year my son had a medical issue due to a medication a Dr. Had given to him and was threatened to be kicked out the first day he was there because he had an accident and couldn't help it. It was explained to the directors that he couldnt help it and how to maybe help him while he was there yet when it happened a few more times he was still threatened to be kicked out making him feel bad about himself and scared to have an accident out of his control. That's just the beginning. They lost my sons towel again within the first week and my son had to find it in the lost and found. They lost his camp shirt and charged me for another one because they gave him a new one. They never put the sunscreen on my son that I provided in his bag like I was told to do so, so he came home sunburnt most days... yet gave me another child's sunscreen in his backpack when he came home one day. His sunscreen had his last name on it big as day and when I sent him back the next day they took his and left the other childs.. my son's had higher SPF, was fuller, and honestly it's the principle of the point.. IT WASNT HIS, AND THEY STILL WERENT USING IT ON HIM DAILY! They took the campers to a Waterpark for the entire day and if you couldn't guess my child came home looking like a lobster from once again NO SUNSCREEN. Pure negligence from their counselors in my opinion. Oh and don't let your child be a little hefty or different from the rest because they will bully them or at least they did mine. Making fun of little kids these days and not stopping the older kids from bullying the younger ones is the way to go I guess. That's how it is at this camp. My son will never go back here. It's not a cheap camp by any means but it is definitely cheap service and very rude, inconsiderate, un compassionate directors and staff... save your money and time. Choose a safer, healthier, more loving camp...

If your child has a special need OF ANY KIND do not let them attend here. Camp will charge you to remain on wait list even not attending and not reimbursed if there is not an opening or if child is sick or family vacation. Counselors at the camp is 50 50. Some very nice and others that seemed to never grow out of the bully stage and like to make fun of small children. Facilty inside is very dirty and children run around unattended at times. When going to pick up my child early on 2 different occasions there was an issue locating him at the property, not sure about you but that is scary beyond words. The director of the Camp could not be less helpful or kind and caring. Essentially in a nutshell paying for unorganized chaos and to have your child belittled, made to feel inadequate and worried to attend other camps or activities in fear of being treated the same. 1000% would not recommend this camp to my worst enemy! Save your money, time, and...
