Lake George Regional Park — Attraction in Oak Grove

Lake George is the best lake around! With many different locations of the beach for the beaches huge on one side you have grilling and camping site kind of facility, and the other side is more of a back wooded lay in the grass or Beach type of area. A very beautiful beach. Cost only $6 per car. It was definitely worth the $6 for we spent the whole day there picnicking and swimming. The lake is so clear that I walked up to my neck and I'm 5-10 and it was clear at the bottom you could still see the little fishes swimming around! very nice public restroom they have restrooms for families unisex men and women. they have a shower facility to rinse off after being in the lake. all around I give this place a 10 out of 10. Perfect park for families, huge great shallow sand beach well groomed, large grassy picnic areas near beach with clean new facilities/bathhouse. Lake water quality is excellent. Hiking snd biking also excellent, several miles paved trails through mature woods, always a cool shady place to enjoy outdoors in the summer heat. Evenings are to be avoided for families, IMO, however. Park is poorly patrolled and groups of teens and young “adults” get noisy and foul mouthed, arriving by vehicle or landing at beach on jet skis or by the boatload. They pretty much take over the park, even the playground until dark and beyond. Last year the park was limited to 300 visitors at a time and closed at 8pm due to some dangerous activity, and that solved most of the problems. I hope it...
