Paint Creek Falls is also known as Westerly Falls. It's about 20 miles north of Beckley, West Virginia off I-64. If you're passing through the area on the interstate, the round trip visit to the falls only adds about 20 minutes to your drive. Google Maps provides incorrect directions to the falls; for some reason it doesn't recognize Highway 15 / Milburn Rd. as a road. From I-64 (north or south bound), take Exit 60 to the intersection of Highway 612 and Highway 15 / Milburn Rd. Turn left on Milburn Rd. In about 3.7 miles, park on the side of the gravel road. Walk down the steep embankment to the falls 100 feet away. The road and falls are well shaded by trees so the falls can be enjoyed rain or shine.
