Deerhill Park — Attraction in Oak Park

You don't realize, at least I didn't, how good your kid's memory is until the thing he wants is gone. Every time we go to this park he asks about the big connect four set that he played with twice about a year ago. I'm sorry dude, I don't know where it is. Stop asking me! Is something I'd never actually say. What I do say is, I don't know bud, why don't we look for it? Knowing full well that thing is long gone. But I'm not that dad. I'm not going to crush my son's little hopes and dreams!

This is a very nice park. Two different parking lots, although the one tucked around the back's entrance is somewhat hard to find. Clean bathrooms and working water fountains. Baseball diamond, soccer pitch, play areas for both big and little ones. Gazebo and table, big open splays of green grass. Hillsides to climb, pickle ball courts. Usually busy, especially on weekends, as they'll be parties and birthdays.

A really fun place to make your child chase...

This is a good park for field sports like volleyball and soccer. There's also a nice outdoor basketball court and playground equipment. The one- is that there's not a lot of trees if you want to have a picnic at the picnic tables. There are a couple of barbecue stations. Also watch out for parking, they do ticket here on the street and parking inside a lot can be tough when there are...

I love this park! It has a separate toddler section with toddler swings and a toddler play area and a big kid park with big kid swings and bigger kid play equipment.
