Pretty disappointing work. Before he even got started, I told him I’d put a lot of time and money into restoring this old car, and I really wanted it done right. I got about $1000 worth of work done, they installed a radio and amp and sub I had purchased through Crutchfield, and got three windows tinted on my blazer. I dropped it off, they were done in a couple days, when I went to pick it up the radio didn’t even work long enough to get out of the parking lot. It was shorting out. He told me that it’s because there was wiring problems with the car, and that the head unit had been wired into the cigarette lighter. That didn’t make a lot of sense to me, and I wish they just at least tried running the stereo before I got a $40 Uber across Knoxville to get this car. Also, the usb cords for the CarPlay were just hanging out from under the dash basically in the driver footwell. Looked sloppy. So I left the car, got a ride home, and a few days later, they called me and said it was done. I got another Uber and as I pulled out of the parking lot in my car the amp went sliding off the sub and smashed the face of it; they hadn’t secured the amplifier in anyway it was just sitting on the slick felt top of the sub. There’s also like 6 feet of excess wire stuffed behind the amp. They wired in a backup camera to this head unit, and when I got under the car to work on the brakes today, I saw that the wire was just half assed ran along the underside of the car. It’s not even zip tied it just runs over the shock pillar. I’m sure this will last a long time. The last picture of where they drilled like a half inch hole to run that tiny wire through the bottom of my floor, I didn’t even put any sort of rubber bushing in there, the wire is already wearing through from being against that sharp edge. The tint is coming off the windows after having rolled it down only a few times. And it was full of little bubbles. He didn’t end up charging me for the tent, because it looked like crap when I went to pick the car up for like the third time he offered to redo it, but at this point, I didn’t want them touching my car anymore. other people seem to have positive experiences, maybe it’s just me. But for $1000 I just wish I could see the value in my...
Read moreI went to Atomic Audio to have my windows tinted, their installer did a very poor job with significant dust under 5 of the 7 windows on my car. I brought it back to have it re-done.
I called to confirm that it was completed, and was told it was ready. I go to pick it up and NOTHING was re-tinted, the car was exactly as it was when I dropped it off, with dust still in the same places and no indications (liquid, new air bubbles) indicating that new tint was applied. I bring the owner out to look at it and he continues to try to convince me that it was done, but eventually gave up and said they'd do it again and gave me a partial refund.
I go to pick the car up the next day, and unsurprisingly I was lied to again by the owner. Instead of re-tinting the vehicle as he said they would, they just removed the tint. This is outrageous, not only will they lie straight to your face, if you question the (extremely poor) quality of their work apparently they'll just refuse to do it at all. I was lied to on 3 separate occaisions by this business, once on the phone saying it was re-tinted, once in person again saying it was re-tinted, then lastly when I was told that the tint would be reapplied after the clearly lied to me previously.
I would recommend going anywhere else for window tint as their installer clearly isn't very good at what he does and the owners will lie to their customers. If they can't even tint a window do you trust them with your car's...
Read moreWas told itd be $80 plus parts to install my aftermarket head unit. They inspect the car, they show me an adapter priced at $100 in store ($50 online but whatever just wanted it done and didnt have time to myself), mostly waited outside til they got to my car. They spent about 20 minutes in it, came back and said their adaptors wont work and they have to order a different one. I declined the offer. They then said they had to charge me $49 for an hour of labor although they only spent a few minutes in the car, all they did was tape my wires back together. Also, my power amp was working fine before I arrived, they fried it and said I must've done it. So I paid $50 for them to fry my power amp. A refund would be great but I'll just assume that wont happen. Never going back or...
