Every year my daughter asks me for an "experience" for her birthday, instead of a gift. Last year was the circus and I had to find a way to top it. The Nature of Wildworks did not dissapoint! I won major points with my now 11 year old with this visit and bonus points from my 20 year old son who joined us.
The rescue has many packages to choose from, but we opted for "A Walk on the Wildside", which includes two personal meet and greets with your animals of choice (depending on sociability).
The amount of animals these caring people have rescued is nothing short of amazing. From yoga studio crashing foxes (Check out Spring on Youtube!), zoo castoffs, and failed hollywood actors, these animals come with so many backstories that warm your heart seeing the love and care that go into them at The Nature of Wildworks. They have animal encloses both indoor and outdoor.
Our guides were phenomenal and full of so much wisdom. There was always a funny story or cool fact accompanying each animal we met! A few of our favorites were Cosmo & Rocket the mischievous raccoons, Spring the loveable grey fox, Bobby the grouchy old man bobcat, Sunny the goofy macaw, and Luna and Arora the wiggly ferrets.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a special experience the entire family can enjoy! I have no idea how I will ever top this experience for my daughter's 12th birthday, but I certainly have my work cut out for me.
Additional information: ♿️ I am partially disabled and there are many inclines, including the steep driveway. I was able to drive my car down closer to some of the outdoor enclosures, but I still needed my sons arm for support in many spots.

Read moreThey sound like they are doing amazing work, which is awesome. $85 dollars to walk through and see the animals makes it one of the more expensive outings in the area to take your child to though. It's unfortunate that an activity to cultivate a respect for wildlife in the young is so cost-prohibitive though. Having children get a connection to nature seems like an effective way to need less wildlife sanctuaries in future generations; but I'm no expert. Only reason I'm down voting a bit is that they are legally designated as a non profit, and I don't feel that's reflected in the services as explained to me. Wish this organization nothing but...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Such a variety of interesting and beautiful animals who are all so well looked after and cared for. You can tell how much love they get which makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable and for the price you pay (which all goes back to caring for the animals) it's such great value. Best day of our holiday.
We had an encounter with Spring and Bobby who were both amazing but would have met all of them...
