I visited the museum today and while the exhibits themselves were very interesting, I was disappointed with the behavior of one staff member. An elderly gentleman working there repeatedly told us not to touch anything, even though we were simply looking, and followed closely behind us reorganizing items as we walked through. This made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I understand the importance of protecting the exhibits, but the way it was communicated came across as unnecessarily rude. Read moreExcellent museum. Not huge, but they got a lot of interesting items dating from the earliest inhabitants in the area to the more recent times, though most of it is gym the last 100 years. Even have a few items for sale if you are looking for a souvenir or two. Staff are friendly. Wish I had gotten a picture of operating hours, been there before when the museum is closed so it isn't always open. Restrooms and parking are nearby. Will visit again...
