Penn-Can Speedway — Attraction in Oakland Township

Far from decent track. Started with a modified make up feature with no water on the track prior to the race. Have seen the water truck head on a light pole here. Watched 4 guys not be able to figure the water truck pump was out of gas. But if you came to see the finest Pennsyltucky has to offer, here you are! This is the place parents bring destructive, disrespectful children and turn them loose unsupervised to create havoc around the grandstands, while they are trying to empty the casket size cooler of its beer before the last feature. No security, no supervision, piss poor track maintenance. Emailed the track with my concerns, and no response which tells me they could care less about civilized spectators. If your are a Walmart people watcher, this is up your alley. If you want to watch good dirt racing, this is not the place. But they do have two go carts to waste your time watching. I’ve been going to Penn Can Speedway for over 40 years as a driver and a spectator and I have enjoyed it up until about two years ago. I realize the track has changed hands ,which in Some cases was a good thing and needed change. Now I know that it is a business and your in business to make a living and the only thing that is missing is for your officals to keep control of what is going on during the various races! There is WAY to much rough riding going on without any punishment for it! I have not seen a black flag in so many years that I can not remember what a black flag looks like. A decent dirt track experience, though under new management has timely delays. But often is one of the few tracks that attempts races on bad weather days. While other tracks give up.
