First off, the natural beauty of this park is unparalleled. The lake is clear, cool, clean, and perfect for fishing or swimming. Once upon a time, you could hike all day out there and see beautiful little streams, cellar holes, and discover micro adventures everywhere. My wife and I did a fun 5 mile run this past week and found some trails in wonderful condition, Bridal trails are well maintained and easy to follow, and a few foot trails/mountain biking trails that were super fun and in pretty good shape. We also found a footpath (Raccoon) that has all but disappeared. Tons of wildlife still out here, and I am so disappointed that I had no time to really fish the lake. Have you ever gone fishing on a lake only to find it surrounded by loud neighbors, loud boats, or so many houses you felt as if you were always being watched? Not here. It is so peaceful on this...
Read moreIt's very sad, this park was once a very beautiful, and fun place to go visit. It is a very run down, not maintained place. Let's start at the lake, it's been filling in with dirt and stuff for years. The old boat launch is only a foot deep now from the lake filling in. The new boat ramp is terrable. Thier is spots around the lake that need the paths repaired, wood fishing areas are a SAFTEY HAZARD. They literally have rebar and stuff just sticking outta the ground. Nice place to fish still tho. I'll give them that. Camp ground is never full, maintained very poorly. Always see reserved spots that no one is ever in, not sure what's up with that honestly.
Overall I would not go outta your way to go visit this place. Was once a great place just really run down and forgotten by...
Read moreI don't recommend the beach at $5.00 dollars per person and only open from noon to 6 p.m. It isn't a nice enough beach to pay to get into when there are places that you can go for free like Woodcock Dam Beach, the Peninsula or Warren County. It's a drive, but worth it to go elsewhere. I was not happy that we had to wear wrist bands also, like we were at an amusement park. There were only 2 other kids swimming the day we were there, along with our 2 kids. That makes a total of 4 swimmers that were kids, but not adults swimming. There is a reason that there is low attendance at the beach at Two Mile. It just isn't nice enough for a season pass of to pay...
