Muddy Creek Falls — Attraction in Oakland

There’s 3 very photogenic waterfalls in this park. Last Thursday there was an ice storm, when we went down to both Swallow Falls and Muddy Creek Falls on Sunday there was still a significant amount of ice on the path leading to the steps, on the steps themselves and on the hand rail. We seen several people fall. It’s beautiful park, you could easily spend the day here going to all the waterfalls just heed the warnings and wear Yak Traks or some other cleats if you plan on visiting in the winter after a snow or when ice...

This is the tallest falls in Maryland. It's best viewed inside Swallow Falls State Park. Make sure to visit by looking across the Youghiogheny River.
