Nice trail to hike. A cub started slowly following me last year in July when I was on the trail by the stream. They were coming down the hill and got spooked by something as I heard them breaking tree branches. At first I thought it was an owner and its dog from the distance but when I saw it was two bears, I started speed walking away. The whole time mama bear was trying to get in between its cub and me to create distance/defend. I think it only happened because I had two dogs and one is a small poodle mixed that’s white and fluffy (who surprisingly didn’t bark bc they didn’t smell or see the bear as I went to fight or flight mode right away) and the cub was very curious to get near me because they followed me...

This is a nice hike, I think 2.5 miles mostly flat around the lake, saw a person running around lake. Fish in the lake, people fishing but no swimming. Can hike up to the ruins too which are pretty cool. We saw nyc from the window of the ruin! Wish no one grifittied would have felt more majestic and old.
Trails are easily marked and can take a picture of it on the website first. Because the map at the park behind the glass is too dirty.

"She/He's Friendly" is your opinion and also the dog may react differently to those it does not know, surroundings, bears, other wild animals, random loud noises etc. can all alter a dog's temperament no matter how "friendly" you think your pet is.
