It is an absolutely beautiful park where you can walk across a foot bridge over a very beautiful Creek. Into the forest on very nice paths that are suitable for mountain biking or dog walking, and you can even walk your dog off leash on. There is a wonderful picnic area with built-in barbecues and lots of picnic tables by the water. It is very family friendly. I didn't use restrooms, but I'm sure that they were OK. considering the way the rest of the park was maintained. There is also an area for the little stage where they have a free program that plays music in the park during the summer. With a variety of talent that performs there, I have been There are several times, and I will return As there are delicious blackberries right by the river to pick.

Green Waters Park is a beautiful little park on the east end of Oakridge. It borders the middle fork of the Willamette River. With it's huge trees, green lawn areas and numerous picnic areas it's the perfect place for a family picnic , family reunion or just a place to use one of the two restrooms and walk the dog in a beautiful setting. There is a covered pavilion and a fully equiped community hall that can be rented from the city very reasonably for gatherings of every kind. If you are in Oakridge I highly recommend a visit.

We didn't spend time in the actual park, but really enjoyed the trails which are worthy of mobility devices such as wheelchairs and rollators. I have stopped there many times to use the clean restrooms at the rest area to the right of the park. This was my first time turning to the left and finding the park and the trails. There were a lot of families and dog walkers enjoying the good fall weather. Quite a bit of parking still available despite how many cars were there.

For years, our family held their annual Curtis/Gordon family reunion at this park. We loved it! There were areas to set up horseshoes, the playground was well equipped for the younger set to enjoy hours of fun. The kitchen/dining area was wonderful for food preparation and serving. The beautiful Willamette River flows beside the park, spilling its way along the rocks along the way. Trees provide shade, and there was a swimming pool for everyone to enjoy.

I don't know what it is like currently, but the last reunion I attended there was in 1986. We loved the area and looked forward to...
