My sister rented out this space for her wedding ceremony. Paid to have it reserved. There were hundreds of teenagers and parents taking homecoming pictures during the ceremony and afterwards when the bridal party was taking pictures. I am furious that money was paid to have the space reserved and we had to deal with snotty parents who insisted that their kids “were just trying to have a good time too”. They had no empathy. I understand kids wanting to take homecoming pictures but the seriousness of the two events varies drastically in my opinion.

Read moreIt's ok. We weren't too impressed with the toddler play area. It was directly in the sun with no shade available so our toddlers couldn't play on any of it without burning their hands and legs. So we played in the grass most of the time. Also wasn't a fan of the drop off next to the playground. Seems a little silly to have such a big drop off next to an area where toddlers will be playing as they go back and forth between playgrounds. It was too big of a step to take even when they tried to safely step down it. The drop off was taller than their legs. So that was a little annoying. The playground equipment for the older kids was good. Definitely wouldn't recommend for anyone under the age of 4...
Read moreBee Tree Park is a true hidden gem! The Nims Mansion sits elegantly on the bluff, overlooking the mighty Mississippi River. It’s a beautiful and historic spot. The hiking trails are great, with scenic views and plenty of nature to enjoy. We especially loved the quiet pond with great fishing spots and relaxing views. Just a quick heads-up: while the mansion adds to the park’s charm, it’s not currently occupied and some areas around it may not be safe to walk through. so use caution near the building.
