Matthew 21:15-16: ‘And the chief priests and scribes, seeing the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying: Hosanna to the son of David; were moved with indignation. And said to him: Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus said to them: Yea, have you never read: Out of the mouth of infants and of sucklings thou hast perfected praise?’
Mark 10: 13-16: People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
Even thought white flag claims to preach the Bible, they apparently only want to preach to adults or silent babies and completely disregard the above passages (and the numerous others) about the beauty of babies crying in the temple and Jesus saying to not hinder children from coming to him. My family and I were told multiple times about where to take my baby out of service because she was blowing raspberries and babbling and was a distraction. If she were to cry I would have left, as I have done in the past there too. Multiple families came up to us after service to comment about how well behaved she was during service as well so the congregation did not care. When asking the preacher himself about it he noted it’s their policy because people were turning their heads and looking (sorry they can’t control themselves? Sorry they missed maybe a second of the sermon to see a cute baby?)
Just note that if you have kids and want them to stay with you as many of us did with our parents in our childhood, this is not the church for you. Just note that this church thinks its congregation needs sheltered to be able to hear the word. Just note this church wants to cast out the children from hearing the sermon the way Jesus intended and apparently don’t want young mothers or families to attend church at White Flag.
I just don’t want another mom to go and be embarrassed and leave crying as I did. If you happen to go and have the same encounters, know they are wrong not you. And please find another church that welcomes children as they should, me and my daughter will...

The sermons are not a watered-down version of God's word and sometimes God's word IS hard to hear, we get that! But His word is truth if you are a true believer. If it's hard to hear, White Flag can help you to understand reasoning behind the hard truths, verse by verse.
My husband and I are proud to have called White Flag our church home for well over a decade but we aren't blind to fallible humans. Messy things happen any and everywhere when people are involved in anything, but we, if anyone knows us well, would be one of the first to examine, ask questions, poke and prod till we know facts. The fact is, our church does have bumps in its road, but the truth that we have personally experienced is that the growth in our faith life, in our hearts, has far exceeded any bumps experienced along the way! But each person has to weigh that for themself. We love the people, the worship, the support & encouragement and the snack bar is pretty good, too! :)
So if you're looking to find a new church or grow your faith in a deeper way and 'church hopping' is leaveing you wanting a deeper connection... Come visit! Give White Flag an opportunity to introduce you to biblical truth and a true relationship with an...
Read moreAfter a very personal experience, I felt a pull to start going to church. I did research because back home I never felt welcome at churches around my are. I stumbled upon White Flag on google and contacted them immediately about setting up a visit. I went on a Thursday night before service and all the staff members were so Welcoming. Debbie was amazing at showing me around and introducing me to some people and giving some information about the church. The first service I went to had me in tears the whole time, but in the best way of course. I have been a member here ever since (mid March) and even got baptized after a short few weeks of attending here. This is definitely my church family and home and I really thank God every day for this church! My only regret is not...
