Corson's inlet is hands-down one of the best two fish and you're down at the Jersey shore so make sure if you're down aftercooler snacks and drinks because they have beaches full of people playing in the water and the area is safe for your even small children to swim. Just up from there all the fishermen are trying their hand to catch fish. Those of you who are looking for the top areas to go crabbing will want to make sure this is the place you go first because in one afternoon of the early evening day might just surprise you with such a bountiful crab feast you think you'll be inviting your neighbors that evening to help boil and eat that succulent blue claw crab meat.
I have been fishing for crab in and around that area every year and most of my years of my life and having great success especially when i crab more than fishing due to the juggling both fishing equipment and crabbing baskkets make the day not as enjoyable as it wouldve been if relaxed doing your favorite of the two. if you have children you won't ever get your line in the water because between checking the crab baskets and fixing their fishing lines you might as well pick one or the other and enjoy your day in the sun, my friend.

Read moreLoved our walk in Corsons Inlet! Easily found parking the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The bathrooms at 59th street are great (we parked on the street nearby). I highly suggest that you wear sneakers, high socks and/or pants. The path is fun, and while you can do it in flip flops, it is FULL of poison ivy. So.much.poisonivy! Everyone’s comments about bugs is also accurate, but we used bug spray. Not a big deal. Wearing flip flops on this hike (totally my fault!) with all the poison ivy was very stressful. Thankfully we came through unscathed. That being said (if you’ve read this far), I LOVED this walk and will do it again, walk the whole thing, while wearing sneakers! My three year old had a blast. Ya know, until we were at the farthest point from the car and then she wanted to be carried. We were able to take a path to the beach and she loved running back...
Read moreGorgeous, quiet beach with awesome walking trails through the dunes. Plan about an hour to walk the trails and then come back on the beach. There are a lot of great photo opportunities and it's a great break from the hectic boardwalk. They offer a guided nature walk on Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening but we were disappointed to show up on the last Tuesday of August and wait with a rather large group and never have a guide show. I wish there was a way to double check ahead that the tours are happening as we could have gone at a more convenient time. There are also a ton of biting gnats, flies and mosquitoes so big...
