October 19 update. Last night my wife, daughter and son-in-law and I visited chemung Hills banquet hall for a cooking class with their chef. In the 2 1/2 hours with Chef Chad, we were able to create several culinary delights along with other additional parts of a main course meal. That was absolutely delicious.. I would made this extra special is that the prep time for dicing cutting the vegetables were already prepared for us. We would work on two of the four main parts of the meal, and be able to after each dining experience was prepared and sat in front of us by ourselves. We able to sit down and enjoy our accomplishment, Chadâs directions were easy to follow. The skillet with his own gas source was heating sorts was unbelievable to use and we had a fantastic experience. I hope Chemung continues bringing these various meals for us to work with because it was a culinary experience. I will never forget it was fun savory, and we had great company.
Update: Howell Recreation Valentine dances are here February 1 second third eighth ninth and 10th 2024. With the theme of Disney villains, the entire banquet area was transformed into a fantasy of those beloved villains. Unbelievable how in a few days the atmosphere of the banquet hall was transformed into a Disney Wonderland of imagination, the food was delicious. The family night was absolutely terrific with so many getting dressed into villain characters. It was an absolute thrill. Stand out did dances and Halloween dances. This was the place to be. And I believe no other dances in our area can match what Howell Recreation put together tonight. Congratulations to the staff specially Jordan and Chris and Andrew and their...
Read moreThe staff is very friendly and helpful. Always a nice touch when a course has a driving range too. Now the course I would say if you're new to the game or a real high handicap you might want to build your game. It's totally a placement course, two holes where you can really clobber the driver, otherwise it's a real chess match on which club you are choosing and just where it is you'd like to land. The course is very well kept. The greens are pretty fast and pretty much all of them have a hill or is dome shaped, one was actually bowl shaped. But it's extremely easy to fly past the hole on these greens. And I suggest you golf with someone who knows the course if possible. It can be tough to know exactly where you're going or what's over the next hill. But the views are spectacular and the course is unique to say the least. It was pretty mean to me. But I'll definitely come...
Read moreMy first impression was okay. The course is filled with snobby players making snide remarks about the golf clubs we had. The course manager, acted like a male Karen, telling us with a rude attitude we couldn't tee off at hole one when it was clearly not closed. He then proceeded to sit behind us at the next stop down the hill interrogating us on who's name the tee time was under and staring us down. It was inappropriate and disturbing. I called and made a reservation for tee time 45 minutes later at the best golf course in Livingston County, MI and we left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Oh, and as a bonus, they refused to refund our payment knowing full well we hadn't even begun to play. Don't waste your time...
