Ratliff Stadium — Attraction in Odessa

The stadium itself is beautiful. We went there for Permian's 2024 graduation. Parking was atrocious as it seems that there are not enough spaces to accommodate the volume of people that can visit the stadium. This next section is in regard to the clear bag policy that ECISD law enforcement was enforcing. I understand the need for the clear bag policy to prevent weapons from entering, but don't check actual people for weapons of which they can carry on their personal, such as knives and guns. So, the clear bag policy is mute in actual prevention in public safety. Then, to enforce that policy on life-saving devices really is hypocritical of public safety measures as then puts people with disabilities at risk of death or serious harm. I thought law enforcement was there to protect and serve, not deny, and cause endangerment. But hey, I guess that's what ECISD law...

I’ve been informed about the rules and regulations for this years graduation ceremony, and I’m trying to understand the reasoning behind them. While I want to avoid fights, mess, and safety issues, I also want to comprehend how these rules impact the students’ ability to celebrate their achievement. I am a school bus driver with San Angelo I.S.D. I brought the Central H.S. Band here for a football game tonight... The restroom smelled like a sewer, and when I asked for a $3.00 Coke at the concession stand, the lady said it would be an additional $3.50 just bcuz I did not want any ice in my Coke...therefore, my Coke was going to cost me $6.50...THAT'S ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND RIDICULOUS!!! Next time I will bring my own food & drink and stay in the school bus. I REFUSE TO SUPPORT THIS CONCESSION STAND EVER AGAIN!!!
