Janney Furnace is a beautiful, but small, historic park. This park is close to my home so it's a convenient place for my son and his friends to play basketball. It has a playground for younger children and there is also a pavilion. It's a great place for birthday parties. There's a large barn type building at the park that is perfect for larger groups. There's Civil War Reenactments that takes place at the park a couple times a year. I recommend that everyone come to Ohatchee's Janney Furnace to experience the reenactment weekend! Oh, and did I forget to mention the the museum there that's free...

This place, although small, it's history is huge. I never knew I was missing so much! The gentleman that works in the museum is awesome, and so full of knowledge it's becoming! This is definitely a must see place and the history behind it will blow you away. Like it was put to me in this day; "You must know who you are, in order to know where...

The road is two lane and narrow at places. We were too early for the museum - it is open Thursday - Monday starting at 1000. Quite a bit of information - large memorial plus the remains of the Janney Furnace. Plenty of parking but nothing for an RV but fortunately, the lot was empty so we had no problems.

It was a nice place to visit. It's full of historical significance. I didn't get to see all of it as I just had total knee replacement and couldn't walk up some of the hills. I look forward to going back to explore more of the facilities when I'm more mobile in the future.

This is a great little park. We were there on New Years Day so it was closed but we still enjoyed the walking trail and the pups swam in the beautiful pond. Very peaceful place to hang out on a warm winter afternoon. We will definitely go back again when it is open.
