Eldora Speedway — Attraction in Ohio

This place is a frickin joke. I went to the dirt track world championship this past weekend, and I completely understand that they can do absolutely nothing about the weather. What they can control is how they treat the thousands of people that they screwed over. Very few people who were there, including me, could stay for the Sunday running of the event. When they announced that it was being postponed, they had shut all of the ticket counters and pulled all the staff, so we couldn't get any answers on what was happening. The one guy that I did find flat out told me to screw myself and that even if he was able to help me, he wouldn't. Then I went to contact them on Tuesday, as they hadn't responded to my wife's message, the phones were off the hook or something, because they weren't answering. I went on the website to see about the Thursday credit and way down at the bottom of the page there was a note saying that they wouldn't be giving any credit or money back, because they raced on Sunday. That is NOT how you treat paying customers. For a lot of us, this was a once in a lifetime experience and we got completely screwed. Tracks wonder why crowds aren't showing up like they used to and why so many tracks are closing, things like this are the reason. This is supposed to be the best dirt track in the world and this is how they treat thousands of fans, who drove from all over the country. It's absolutely sickening. As for the Thursday credit, why would I want it, after being treated like this? I know this isn't going to do anything, but I sure hope I'm not the only one of the thousands of people that got screwed over that...

We bought tickets and a camp site February 2020 for June 2020 late model dream and then the pandemic hit they said they would push the tickets back to the 2021 season so we called bc we decided not to use the tickets and they said if you send a letter back stating that we want a refund they would send us a check so we did that I even put my husbands phone number down so if there was any questions then they could call him so we sent this in, back in may we have called several times to check on them receiving them they said they had it would take a few weeks to get the check well we received a check for the camp so we called they said that they put the tickets on our account to only buy more tickets for eldora so we told them we didn’t plan on coming we wanted a refund the guy stated we didn’t tell them what we wanted to do with the tickets so I said I sent the letter with it he said he don’t know who opens the mail but they didn’t put any notes in so we don’t...

Well after many years of reading and hearing about Eldora Speedway I finally went for a visit for the USAC Four Crown Nationals. The place is first class. The track was BAD fast. The pricinf was fair. The parking and camping nice and the food was great for a great price. My only complaint was having gotten up at 4am to drive all the way out there. After time trials the track was toast. It required nearly a two hour delay to revive the track which had played host to a two division show the night before. As a result, and after leaving prior to the end of the Silver Crown portion, we did not return to our hotel until well after 3 am. I now face an eight hour ride home with very tired eyes putting me and my family at risk on the ride home. What would I suggest to make the situation better? Its simple. Wings Friday. No...
