I really want to love this place! I will list the good first, even though for me the bad out weighs the good here. The guy who owns the place is great, definitely a people person. Constantly walking around talking to everyone, just a really nice guy. The wines are delicious, one of the very few places that uses their own juices for their wines instead of importing them in. The Pizza was delicious, the lady cooking it sweet as can be! There is a super sweet St Bernard thats there to greet you. There is beautiful scenery and cabins to rent. BUT all that doesnt matter very much when the lady at the tasting bar is so incredibly RUDE, totally ruined everything else, no joke! Our group was small, the place was not very busy, we walked up tried to start friendly small talk with her, she was very short through out the entire interaction with her, we all kind of looked at each other like "wow" but just blew it off, we order a couple samples and put our pizza order in, and then ordered one bottle to take to our table, and waited for our pizza. During the time we were waiting, the guy who owns the place kindly offered us a little bit of wine that was left at the bottom of a bottle for us to try, of course we said we would love to try it. So he set the bottle down and we each got to try it. Pizza comes, we finish up. Two separate couples walk in and go up to the bar. The dog walks up to the one couple, the guy reaches down to pet it and must of got his paw with his boot, obviously on accident. Someone a few seconds later comments on the dog acting shy...Lady behind the bar loud and rudely states its because SOMEONE stepped on him. The guy is standing right there! You could tell he felt bad and was embarrassed. Then the other couple that walked in wanted to order food, but i guess they don't serve pizza between 3-5, i cant tell what transpired between them and her but you could tell they were not happy at all with they way she treated them. She then brings over our bill. The price she gave was way to high, and we were all a little confused. I asked her how much the pizza was because we were splitting it, she acted like she didn't understand my question and was annoyed. I rephrased the question and she told us. When we got the paid receipt and looked to see why the bill was so high we noticed she charged us for the whole bottle that the owner sat at our table. When we kindly let her know she charged us for the bottle the owner was just letting us try she very snottly said " well how was i supposed to know" went got the refunded money and slammed it on our table. I looked over and the one couples saw what happened and their eyes were like what the hell! Our group of 4 and the 2 couples all walked out with in 30 seconds of each other, so 8 people all were treated badly by this woman and left. As we were pulling out the one couple stopped us and was like whats wrong with her! This place is off the beaten path, you are taking a gravel dirt road to get here. And then to have that woman be so unbelievably rude, no one was being rude to her, no one was being obnoxious. I would never want to drive all the way out there to be treated that way again! It so unfortunate, because i really want to...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe atmosphere was great, they have heaters for the outside space making it very cozy. Dinner tasted amazing, not entirely what I expected from the description, but very good indeed. Now for the wine, we did some samples before we chose a bottle to share, picked the blueberry first which paired well with our dinner. It has a sweet subtle taste of the blueberry, loved it! Then we did a bottle of the lemonade wine, I think I would have preferred that more on a summers eve. Did a sample of the Frost, by far my favorite, took two bottles home.
Beautiful property, the vines are all over the property and I'm sure it would look even more amazing when in full bloom! We noticed that they have cozy cabins on the property. And they had a couple anniversarys the night we were there and the one couple had actually been married on the property by the owner.
The owners! So friendly and welcoming made you feel as though you were coming to their house to visit for the evening.
Highly recommend!
Oh and the bonus, the ever so friendly and fluffy saint Bernard that wanders around...
