Have been going here since I was a toddler. Due to weather and age the water has changed over the years. It is always exciting to see how it looks each time you go. The pavilion is nice. There is is great big field for soccer, baseball, kickball...you name it. The current playground looks safe and fun. There is an area for making a fire and benches here and there.
My only concern is if you are handicap there is no easy or no way at all to get down to be on the rocks/sand by the water. Only one bench that is handicap accessible with...
Read moreReally nice place for kids to throw/skip rocks in the water. My wife, kids and I had a lot of fun. If you want to walk and swim in the creek/stream I'd highly recommend water shoes to protect your feet from the rocks. Lots of the creek/stream is shallow but there are some spots that are fairly deep. One area caught me off guard and the water was up to my neck and I am 6'1" So if you have young kids make sure you are right by their side. We only saw a small area of the park but from where we were it was clean. Didn't see any...
Read moreIt was great except for the douche canoe bully kids and the mothers who were all like "it's both parties" when really lady, it's your kid who is just punching other kids, throwing a fit when getting called out and trying to play the victim. Otherwise it's a great place to skip rocks, have a picnic, and generally have fun while teaching kids that ignoring jerks is better than engaging and stooping to their level.
