This area is beautiful no matter what season you decide to visit. They offer kayak rentals here as well. There is a nice boat launch. The park is very lovely. This is just one small area of a very large park. We visit as often as we can. There are so many trails to hike here also. We enjoy birdwatching as well and tend to see quite a bit of different species in the park.

Lake Newport is the best of the 3 lakes at Mill Creek in my opinion for the most wild nature and beautiful scenery in the park. It doesn't matter what time of year it is or the weather, I always enjoy a walk here.

I've been coming here for 18 years since we first moved to the area. I have a lot of great memories and I always enjoy the scenery on the trails. You'd think it gets old after a while but really it just becomes nostalgia. When I was younger I used to excercise by climbing up and down...

A nice 5 mile hike around the lake. Probably about 75% trail and a the rest paved. Lots to offer from a boat launch to boat rental, waterfalls and the old Mill. Some benches to sit and relax. Trails are in rough shape in some locations. Always something to see...
