Maria Stein Shrine of the Holy Relics — Attraction in Ohio

This was so awesome! Such a precious blessing to see the amazing relics & beautiful artifacts of our Catholic history. The people were so welcoming & our guide through this Holy place was just so delightful & knew the answers to all our questions. Would love to visit with my family and share the extraordinary gifts & knowledge of our Catholic heritage foundation brought from all over the world. The day was filled with the true love & adoration of our risen Lord. The JOY of the Eucharist presence was preserved & shared in this beautiful place that represents the true love & devotion of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as the Mass,the Sacraments & the Eucharistic glory that God has shared with His people. You are surrounded by the grace of His endless JOY & forgiveness that He brought to each of us since the beginning of time has began. A friend and I visited here last Saturday (August 5, 2017). As we left the main sanctuary at around 3:45, some fat, bald dude starting yelling, "You'll have to wrap up your visit now, ladies. We are closing. Didn't you see our schedule?"

I replied, "Yes. You're open until 4 today. It isn't 4 yet," and I walked toward the gift shop entrance.

He literally stood in the doorway, blocking me from going in, and said, "We're closing now. Perhaps you can come back another day."

Perhaps I WON'T come back another day. Geesh. The whole experience was just weird. What's so great about an old church filled with pieces of bones from priests who died years ago? Plus, it's located in a rural area that stank so badly of manure I could barely breathe.

Update: The Shrine continues to be a place of peace and an opportunity for grace to envelope the visitors. Feeling lonely or depressed? Come visit Jesus in the tabernacle, the Saint’s in the reliquaries and be filled with hope and joy. They now have a bake shop every Friday!
