This little gem of a winery offers dessert wines, one of my favorites. So we decided to visit it during the week instead of being among the crowds on the weekend. Best choice as no one was hardly there when we arrived. The staff was friendly and welcoming as we entered. We had our sights set on trying the chocolate cherry dream, chocolate Raspberry dream, the smores, and northern nights. The chocolate cherry was okay, but the cherry was very subtle. The chocolate Raspberry dream was tastier as you could definitely taste the chocolate and raspberries. The smores were really an experience as you got the smoke, then the chocolate next to the marshmallow and then Graham cracker. The northern night is an ice wine which is my favorite wine and this didn't disappoint it was very smooth and sweet. So we ended up buying 2 northern nights and one chocolate Raspberry dream bottle of wine. My only disappointment was not being able to buy one of the wine glasses. Alas, such is life sometimes as they were short on them and were waiting for more to come in, only after spending that kind of money you would think they could part with just 2 of them. So overall, great dessert wines and excellent ice wine. Nice to get away from all the people and enjoy...
Read moreThe service was terrible, we’ve been to many wineries all over the world and this was the worst service we’ve ever had, they did not rinse our glasses out in between tastings just used the same glass for each taste, the lady was rude and acted annoyed to be working that day. Not a typical winery vibe. The space is a pole barn type set up with no kitchen so they do not offer you water you can purchase bottled water only. The entire experience was not good. The wine was probably the worst we’ve ever had. I would encourage you to try a different winery up the road and skip this one. The service being bad makes things worse than anything, be friendly we stopped at your winery, make it a...
Read moreI did not hate Silver Moon Winery- the lady behind the counter was very friendly- but maturity is missing at this winery.
The dry wines and especially the Viniferas do not taste right. Very light and watery on the palate, no nose. I’m not a sweet wine fan, but they did have some sweet wines that were pretty good.
Another let down was when I asked the lady behind the counter what AVA was the winery located in, and she didn’t know what I was talking about.
If you love sweet wine then you’ll love...
