We took our 2 boys (3 & 6). We hiked 2 trails and went into the bat cave. Both trails are pretty easy, some steps and inclines. There are some small cliffs but most have railings. Beautiful, quite place, staff is very friendly! The bat cave was really neat, gets a little tight towards the bag but opens up to a small room. The center gives you flash lights to take and only allows 1 group to go at a time. Which is very nice and needed! I would most definitely come back here and hike some more trails!

The art in The Appalachian Forest Museum is superb. These photos are from one of the Valley of the Ancients Trail behind the museum. I have museum photos, but I'm unable to select them to upload for some reason.

A gateway to the wonderful trails that lead down to the river. Lots of good info here about the Highlands nature sanctuary, and a great room for kids with coloring, books, and hands on artifacts. Lots of history here as well as the area used to be the 7 caves " amusement park." Lots of the original architecture and paths are...

Some of the best trails in Ohio. The Three Sisters is a must see experience… it feels like you’re in a dream, and the trail getting there is gorgeous the whole way. Definitely wear a good pair of hiking shoes! Lots of uneven terrain and roots. Hardly anyone there even on a weekend day....
