The Butterfly House — Attraction in Ohio

Took the family yesterday. I have been here a few times in the past and loved it. But my wife and step daughter have never been. We walked in and I noticed the gift shop area was completely bare, nothing too see or buy. So we paid and right before we walked in we were told a lot of the butterflies you will see are gonna be "Blue Morpho". We go inside the greenhouse area and that is the only butterfly species they have. I had told my family about how cool this places was and told them how they had so many different species of butterflies flying around, only to be let down due to the fact there was one species. If they would have said that before we paid, I would have came back later in the year and called before driving all the way out there. They were still happy but I was a little let down because of how much I hyped this place up to them. Call before driving out there too see if they have more than one species...

It was beautiful! The only thing is if you're taking little ones people put your friggin phones up and watch your kids like hawks!! Don't let them run and remind them that it is a quite and calm place.... If they can't do that don't take them. Reason I say that is in the hour we were there we witnessed 5butterflies get stepped on and one get injured 😟😢 all from kids just unsupervised which you see all too much of now a days.... Anyways I digress. My daughter and I ended up standing guard and watch for some of the butterflies sunning their wings on the ground. We stopped quite a few tragedies from happening.... Correcting other people's kids too😕 kuddos to the great staff but Idk how they do it. I was a nervous wreck for those beautiful delicate...

Our annual trip to Whitehouse Christmas Tree Farm (Wheeler Farms), a great way to kick off the season. However, this year, they gave us our tree for free (since Josh Miller is overseas serving). They always gave us such a great experience but this year, it was exceptional treatment, this momma's heart was touched by their generosity! I certainly am missing Joshua this season, people like this reminds me that the sacrifices that military families give (and those serving) doesn't go unnoticed. We've been going there 7 years now, can't imagine going anywhere else (especially now)! A great family experience......
