This is a place many people have fond memories of my family had spent many hours at this place enjoying the beauty of it. To me there is no beauty to be found there it is a place full of secrets. My brother died in the lake. And his wife and the lead forest ranger of the park eere responsible and covered it up. Robin Knick and Aaron Shandor were having an affair and just like the first time she was married to my brother she started cheating on him this time with the ranger. But this time my brother was worth quite a bit so just leaving him was out of the question. She wanted it all just like she said after he drowned. She couldnt leave him and get that so they devised a plan. And Aaron arranged it to be off that day and he drove the boat back to shore for Robin her mom and their guests after my brother drowned. And the people that worked for him helped to cover it up whether knowingly or not. It is a horrible truth that hangs over that park. The truth will see the light. Im getting ready to take out adds in newspaper in surrounding areas to question people and take statements to help us in holding those responsible accountable. A promise I made my momma who died of a broken heart. I have reason to believe because of relatiknship made by the rangers of this park and the corruption of the prior ranger Aaron Shandor who help cover up the true cause of my brothers death that they are giving me the run around when it comes to the truth. As Aaron and my brothers wife were having an affair she did the same thing in thier first marriage except this time he was worth to much for her to walk away from. So the created her out. Costing...
Read moreWow. Never in my life have I been treated in such a way. My family and I visited this beautiful lake. On Sunday afternoon when we were leaving we were pulled over by one of your park rangers. He was very polite until walking back to his car he threw down my husbands license, ripped out his gun and started screaming and cussing at us all. That the car had been reported stolen and called for backup. The car call came back clear while we were being placed in custody. Meaning the whole thing was a made up lie. He hadn’t even had time to call in before he made the call for backup. Even cleared they proceeded anyway. Ive never even had a traffic ticket in all of my 44 years. Backup arrived swat style and proceeded to shout and curse conflicting directions at our entire group! I’ve never seen such gun proud adrenaline hopped up response in my life. I really thought we would all be shot. We were dressed in bathing suits obviously unarmed. I’m a petite woman, my husband is injured with multiple splinted broken fingers. My mother in law is an 79 year old heart and oxygen patient. She was so scared she messed herself and vomited after. 5 officers responding in full body armor brandishing guns. All to be released with no harm except for scuffs from rough handling with handcuffs on. No tickets and no apologies. They did mention out tags were out and there was a pandemic. We will never return to the local area for fear for our lives. I’ll be speaking with my...
Read moreMy husband and I took our grandchildren, ages 6 and (almost) 4, for a day trip to the Chickasaw National Recreational Park. We began at the Travertine Nature Center where we enjoyed the exhibits and “scavenger hunt.” There was a scavenger hunt page in the auditorium listing different things to see in the nature center. The kids really enjoyed searching for the items and marking them off on the scavenger hunt page. The exhibits were well done and informative, and the live animals were an added bonus. We asked the Park Ranger where we might have the best luck seeing the bison, and also a shallow place to put our feet in the water. She (Patricia?) was extremely helpful and gave us clear and extremely useful information. We thoroughly enjoyed getting in the water around the Little Niagara area. The water was clear, cool, and beautiful. We drove around and took in the sights from Bromide Hill Lookout, then made our way to the Pavilion Spring area where we hiked a trail to find a bull bison, 2 calves, and 5 others. The grands were thrilled! We were so appreciative for the great help/advice from the ranger. We enjoyed a beautiful day exploring and will...
