In the 1970's, there was a small short bay between Eufaula Dam and the east side of Ladybird Landing. This is the first short bay of the lake along the lake shore, as you go southward, away from the dam in the direction of Enterprise, OK. The small bay I have mentioned had a tall, well-made wooden footbridge across the bay. Motor boats could go up the bay, cross underneath the footbridge, make a u-turn/horseshoe turn, going back down the bay, back out to the lake passing underneath the footbridge. Read moreA great place to relax and watch man made structures perform and make electricity. They do not offer tours I'm pretty sure but the bottom of the dam is breathtaking on it's own. Great place to fish if that's your thing or just relax on the sandy beach and find some of the best river rock. There is also a offroad trail system located at the bottom of the dam to enjoy. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area but make sure your pockets don't have anything valuable in them if you get close to where the dam water is releasing it drops tons of water in a heavy spray...
