They made my Valentine's day worse than it already was. In short there's nothing but the restaurant- without bison meat in any food and gambling here and they allow tobacco smoke inside plus the restrooms are to the back past the smoke. I asked about buying beadwork and they don't have anything. The Indian Taco is not bison meat anymore it's cattle meat and there is no bison meat at all here plus I saw dry flour on the fry bread after I cut into it enough- yuck. The first waitress we had told my mom she wouldn't put stuff on the side my mom wanted on the side, and I didn't want to "save it for someone else at home" and put it in my car anyway, so my mom started arguing with her about it and when I got involved and tried to get my mom to stop asking about it, another waitress threatened me directly and said she would kick us both out for the day if I didn't stop raising my voice or something like that! I guess she didn't put our order in because a third waitress came and acted like she had to get our order again, but she was nice so I didn't complain about the flour on the fry bread to her. I found out the Cherokee trading post might have bison burgers, but I didn't have time to go there. I'm diabetic now and I couldn't wait to eat and I had eat some Taco Bell on the way, but then my sugar got really high again because of it, and I didn't have my insulin with me because I didn't plan on staying after us eating. I should have gone home, but my mom refused to go home because she wanted to be able to enter contests. I'm highly allergic to tobacco smoke and they had cigarette smoke in the area you have to go through to go to the restroom! Later on I was coughing already and I came back in to find my mom since it was dark and the security wouldn't help me find her except if I wanted her paged. My mom has trouble walking so I had to go down almost every aisle myself to find her. A guy who worked there, had been helping her, to gamble I guess with her free $20 card, so I thanked him and when he helped hold the door open for her to go outside I said "this is the last time I'm taking her to a casino" and "the fun's over,ha"(for my mom). In the beginning at home, before we came, my mom said wanted an Indian Taco, but when we got there, she revealed that she wanted to enter contests, BUT she didn't say anything about THAT before we left. My mom has some dementia + other problems and after she got in she couldn't decide what to do first -enter contests, go to the restroom, or eat an Indian Taco at the restaurant. Then we found out she had to use the machines to enter the contests so they gave her a card and put money on it twice in two different places next to each other. I escaped my abusive ex husband on Valentine's day 30 years ago and this experience didn't help pass the day.

I went to the Lucky Star amphitheater for Kattfest. The stage setup was nice and the VIP pit was decent. There were enough toilets that I didn't have to wait in line for very long. The parking areas and vendor areas are why I'm giving a 2 star rating. The ground was stupidly bumpy. It made things very difficult for me to navigate with my walker. I nearly fell 3 times just trying to get to the gate because my walker kept jerking around with the rough terrain. My walker has large wheels instead of slides. It's made to go over grassy areas and the like. But the ground at the amphitheater is horrid. The rubber walkways they put down did not make things any smoother. They were very uneven with the edges going this way and that. Again my walker is made to roll over rough-ish stuff. But the terrain was so bad it was more like I was off roading. The only thing missing was mud. On my way back to my truck after the concert I fell into two large post holes because there was no lighting in the parking area. My foot just went down in these holes with my heel down and toes up. The second hole I fell in my foot got stuck and I had to call for help to dig the hole bigger in order to get my foot out. My ankle is sprained because of that mess. Y'all need some dozer work in a bad way. Fix the terrain and it'd be a 5 star experience. I was only going to give 1 star but having enough bathrooms for a crowd of over 10,000 for Shinedown earned you 2 stars. Somebody is going to get hurt out there. I can barely walk as is and now I've got a sprained ankle to make walking even more difficult. Fix the terrain!

Here's everything you need to know about outdoor concerts at Lucky Star Concho. Overall the concert experience was great and the music was plenty loud! Would definitely go again. Bring earplugs just in case. Pros - Free golf cart rides to the entry - Free bottles of water at the drink stands (until they run out) - Re-entry was allowed during the concert - The two mobile restrooms near the entry area are nicer ones - The sound was great at the concert - The tribe running the event was very friendly and helpful - Drinks weren't too expensive - Towards the middle to end of the concert, there were almost no lines at the drink stands - You can bring in blankets and camping chairs for the GA lawn area - For the VIP seated area people were able to leave their chairs and group together near the front of the stage for the concert - The land slopes downward towards the stage providing a good view for everyone in the GA lawn area - The GA lawn area was a lot bigger than what they show on the website Cons - There are random foot-size holes in the ground, so watch your step and use your phone's flashlight after dark - Once the free bottles of water are gone, you have to walk over to the casino to get water - Beer selection was limited to domestic beers only - Cocktails were premixed and only 3 to select from - At the beginning of the concert, lines at the drink stand were about 15 minutes long

ATTENTION PLEASE!! My husband and I had visited this casino and played there for many years, but now we stopped. We found a few strayed dogs outside the casino in April of this year, and it has been a nightmare trying to help them in many ways. The people at the casino are not cooperating. The staff members especially the security guards are cruel and heartless. Recently we were told not to feed the dogs, and to leave the premises because that is a business and not a dog sanctuary. Two of the dogs left are in BAD CONDITION, THEY ARE AWFULLY THIN. We are dog lovers and can't stand seeing an animal suffer and be mistreated. We still travel one hour once a week just to go and feed them and give them fresh water. This last time, the head security guy came out and said we couldn't come back to the casino anymore and did not want to see us there. My husband and I told him to help us get the dogs in the car because they are afraid of people and run, we asked him if someone from the casino could help us put them in our vehicle since the dogs know them better. He said NO, " I will not let anyone in my casino get involved in getting the dogs". We told him that if these precious dogs are not being fed and not taken care of, they will die. They look sick and dehydrated. I even said "Are you guys waiting for them to die of starvation, and the security man did not respond. A few minutes later my husband tried to reason with him, but he just kept repeating, that orders not to feed the dogs were coming from the CEO, management, and owners. I AM BEGGING YOU PEOPLE, DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS. DO NOT GO TO LUCKY STAR IN CONCHO. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS HAPPING IN OTHER LOCATIONS. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY, DO NOT FEED THE POCKETS OF MANAGEMENT AND THEIR STAFF. THEY ARE CRUEL, INHUMANE, EVIL, WORTHLESS PEOPLE STARTING FROM MANAGEMENT. IT IS HORRIBLE, THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO HAVE OUR MONEY. THESE DOGS DO NOT HARM ANYONE. IT IS JUST PURE EVIL. IF YOU READ THIS MESSAGE, PLEASE REPLY IF YOU CAN HELP US RESCUE THESE 2 DOGS BEFORE IS TOO LATE. If you are passionate about animals and a true dog lover, help us save these two dogs. Just reply to this post so we can talk more about it. ThanksIF YOU READ THIS MESSAGE, PLEASE REPLY IF YOU CAN HELP US RESCUE THESE 2 DOGS BEFORE IS TOO LATE. Disclaimer: until there's more transparency with tribal casinos, I won't give any of them five stars.

I have previously given this casino a very poor review, and I probably, shamefully, wrote not nice things. I was in the midst of a horrific losing streak, was too emotional, and I should not have posted a review in that frame of mind. I deleted it just now. Lucky Star is now my highest rated casino.

Currently, and for the better part of two years, this is actually the only casino I have visited within an hour-ish of my house (casinos include Newcastle, Riverwind, Goldsby, Grand Casino, Kickapoo, Blackhawk, Remington Park, Saltcreek, & Cimarron) that I've had somewhat of a chance to leave with more money than I brought, on a semi-regular basis. That does not mean I do, but if I stop when I know I should, as opposed to getting greedy, the opportunity is there. Another perk, one that's not offered by several other casinos, is that you are allowed to pour your own fountain drinks, like an adult! I never thought that could be a perk, but people went and got stupid(er) because of the scamdemic, and they have yet to recover. This review is already too long, so I'm done. Thank you, Lucky Star, for providing your patrons with a fighting chance to win.

Edit: Forget everything I just wrote. Been super tight for a minute now. Can't get positive on a single game. To make things worse, my bonus "star" play has gone from $80/month to $10. They changed their system to reward you bonus play based upon your recent visits. It seems they are confused about how incentives work. Why would I go back just because I was given $10 bonus pay after I just blew my wad for the week? Now I can't afford to go, and $10 isn't gonna get me to the casino if I have no additional playing money. I am pretty sure Lucky Star has now permanently lost a steady flow of $ from me. I'm changing their rating from four stars to one star. So, I'm leaving you, I hope we can...
