Tried going in again this evening, figuring it would be okay since it's Friday night and it's been over 2yrs since I've been in, so it has to have improved! Nope. The drink station is still closed, not expected to reopen EVER. Bottles of water are at the bar now on the counter, but they're still room temp.. 😖 Had a machine lock up on me, and had to have the friend go find someone to help, since neither of the drink servers I'd flagged down had been able help me or get anyone to help me.. so after 15mins of waiting, the friend I was with went and found someone and I'll be damned if the employee not only told me she was just there to refill the paper, but would have to go get a hand ticket, since she was only there to fill paper and didn't have any hand write tickets on her. It might "take her a while" because she can't walk very fast. but I'd have to go to the desk to cash it in since it would be handwritten. 🤨 I was done. I told her nevermind, keep the cash that was stuck. It wasn't enough money to go thru all that plus the wait. So I left. I hoped things would have improved by now, but no.. At this point I've lost all hope in this place and I won't be back. If I wanted to deal with all this, I'd go to Hard Rock. At least I'd get free ice cold fountain drinks while I waited for someone. Plus, Hard Rock smells great. Osage North smells like rubber, stale cigarettes, and tweaker sweat. Sometimes change isn't a good thing, and this is a perfect example. It's just a shame.
Original review :
It's just not what it used to be before. Yes, the old building was small and old and they had some of the games in an attached pre-fab trailer, but the staff at the older place was much more friendly and really got to know it's visitors. I can't say the same for the large staff they have now. It was also the place I loved to go because I never left unhappy. It seemed to be one casino that the machines always payed... Not at all anymore. They also got rid of all of my (and many friends) favorite penny red spin machines and most all of the older machines I really enjoyed playing. The new building also cut down to only one drink station for such a large place. During the depth of the pandemic they closed the drink station and unlike all the other casinos, they have yet to reopen it. All they offer now is room temperature water bottles at guest services and you pay for small cups of soda at the bar or bottles at the restaurants and so on... Also, if u go to the main bar and order a soda, the price changes depending on who is serving you from behind the bar itself. I was told it's at their discretion what to charge. In one night, I paid as much as $3.50 for a small styrofoam cup of Mt Dew that was really mostly ice and as lite as $1.50 for the same. The prices of the pizzas have gone up and you can no longer build your own as it used to be at the old place and I can personally say the quality isn't near what it was then either. The old pizza place (Now Roni Peppa's) also used to offer an amazing selection of desserts like cakes and brownies and such that would change from day to day and was always worth adding to your order. The selection now is repetitive and small and really leaves a lot to be desired. I also miss the old cafe from the old place. The menu was large and had a lot of different foods to choose from. You could always find something on the menu even for picky folks and it was always good food. My friends and I used to go to Osage regularly but have since completely stopped going there. It had been over a year since my last visit and decided to try again just a week ago, only to be reminded why we had stopped going. I love the look of the new place, but overall.. I wish they had just left it...
Read moreI’ve stayed at this Tulsa property many times in the past, but after our most recent visit on Wednesday, it’s safe to say it was our last. I had a few specific questions when booking, so I chose to call the reservation center instead of booking online.
During the call, I clearly and repeatedly emphasized that I needed a room that included four swimming wristbands. Despite this, when I arrived, after waiting in line for about 30 minutes, I was told we’d been booked into a King room, which only comes with two wristbands. The front desk initially suggested I could pay $25 each for two additional bands. Eventually, they offered to upgrade us to a room with two queen beds and four wristbands for about $20 more, which I accepted just to move forward with our night.
Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there.
When we arrived in our room, it hadn’t been cleaned. There was trash left behind, a backpack with someone’s belongings, and the entire space was hot and uncomfortably humid. We immediately called to report it, and they offered to move us to another room. But by this point, we only had about two hours left to swim, so we decided to just head to the pool first.
That, too, was a HUGE disappointment. The poolside bar was closed by 10 PM, and worse, no one was checking wristbands at all. It was clear that several guests didn’t have any, meaning I paid extra for absolutely no reason. The pool water was murky, and the entire experience felt chaotic and poorly maintained. I was especially embarrassed because we brought first-time guests with us who had been looking forward to this visit. They both left disappointed and said they’d stick to River Spirit’s resort in the future.
Once we were finally assigned a new room, after another 30-minute wait, we found that the AC barely cooled the room to 75°F, and the beds were miserably uncomfortable, with mattresses so sunken-in that we were practically sleeping with our heads lower than our legs. I remembered those same sagging beds from a previous visit and had hoped they’d been replaced by now.
We voiced our concerns to multiple staff members throughout the night, but no one made any effort to make things right or offer any meaningful form of accommodation.
Sadly, this property has gone downhill, and this stay confirmed that we won’t be returning to the hotel...
Read moreOn my arrival the casino is away from most other stores and restaurants. Large parking lot. We went to check and in and get some towels for the pool. Check in is at 4pm they told us which is standard check in times nowadays. Off to the pool we go and it is a very nice pool area. Forgot the towels though ugh. They bar outside at the pool will rent you one for 10 dollars. Really! The pool was the best part of our visit here. That and the delicious pizza place they have in the casino. The casino there are no drink stations anywhere. You have to go to the bar and get them. The pool bar did have free bottles of water. The alcohol prices were not bad at all comparatively. Casino is clean for the most part. The workers do not seem very happy and were put out if you stopped them for a question. The rest of the casino is just like any other casino. Don't take what you cannot afford to lose. I do not make my decision about a casino based on winning or losing. We all know it is hit or miss luck of the draw type atmosphere with machines. The rooms were not bad not perfect but a little dirty. Showers were clean and room smelled good. The bathroom door was broken and would not close at all. Elevators are extremely slow. Check in to the hotel was at 4 we got there at 3:45 and waited about 40 minutes to get a room. By the time we went upstairs and came back down there was a line about 40 people deep. We tried at 3:30 to check in and the rude person at the hotel counter said NO it is 4. If they have the rooms ready why not go ahead and pass them out. They gave some rice krispy treats that were good. We ate at the pizza place later. It was the best part of being there. The gift shop is ok and it is open really late so you can get some snacks or whatever. They did have some beer too. Overall I was not impressed with the overnight stay at Osage Casino in Tulsa. I will spend my money other places not here. Like I said not bad but I sure did not feel like they cared if I was there or not. I am sure it is close enough to Tulsa area they really do not care about their customers as much. I would give the total score for food, room, pool and casino about...
