IM UPDATING MY REVIEW OF THIS PLACE. THE RRASON IS I WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE TO STAY HERE BASED ON MY PREVIOUS REVIEW AND THEN DISCOVER WHAT I DID YESTERDAY*, This park nolonger has a on site park assistant. However at some sites their, they have a pedestal for you to swipe your credit card /bank card to pay for your site and to activate your electric. Furthmore the once nice clean bath house is now free. Not sure if i would use it. The change machine in front looks as if it was removed hastly in rage of vandalism. The pay boxes inside for water were gutted and had exposed wires that had access to spray from shower. As i was standing there in shock of all, i began to notice that the walls were covered in cockroaches. The free shower did have hot water but why risk it. As for the grounds it you can tell that its not maintained on a regular basis. So aftet what ive seen yesterday my rating for here is now a one. Im very disappointed and would not recommend this place for nothing more than a swimming hole. But its up to you to decide to stay or not.
ice clean state park has a park guest on site. Tent camping full rv hookups well lit up in the park area. Swimming fishing on site. Sits below the historic spavinaw dam. Can be crowded on weekends mostly a quite friendly place to enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. Has flushing toliets and shower house. Pay for shower use, get 6.5 minutes of time for a $1.00. Clean and private...
Read moreMy family tried to camp here last weekend. The place is beautiful, nice for swimming, fishing, or just checking out the view, its near the dam. The people were the problem for us, we had the rudest, most inconsiderate neighbor! The park has a sign that even states quiet time 11:00 p.m. I am all for people having a good time, but this is not your backyard! Show consideration for your fellow campers, you don't know what their circumstances are, some go camping to get away from dealing with others bs. And people please teach your children to go around others site, not through it. The late night loud music and partying sent us packing in the middle of the night, Thanks camp host for not ensuring some kind of order at this...
Read moreWe decided to take a day trip to Spavinaw to float on the river. Spavinaw is the home of Mickey Mantle. It's too bad that the signs are no longer ledgable. The is a statue of Mickey, but you can read anything. The river water was chilly. The dam had water rushing over it. This made the river flow pretty good. There were quite a few people there. It's a very clean and well kept park. It's free to park and enjoy the river and scenery. If you like to fish, you can buy a permit for $1.00 per day or $10.00 annually. That is in addition to your fishing license. If you have ever been to Spavinaw, you should recognize the upside-down tree. I was so excited to see it still there. It is a...
