Wister Lake — Attraction in Oklahoma

I used to love it until Miss Deputy dog runs the show down there yes she actually seems to run the show tell me when we can go and when we can come on that soon enough told us to leave because my kids wasn't in school odd I teach my kids have all their life. If you want a lady gameranger or whatever she is there up in your business the nosiest most judgemental thinking they're so much better than everybody else if you like dealing with that go to Wister Lake oh but if you do don't get in the water if you have any hair anywhere on your body it looks like 100s of dirt streaks when you get out. Not to mention couldn't see it anywhere I'm real hip on looking for things the kids ran the water just a little while your hours later from head to toe poison ivy or poison oak whatever it was had to go get shots. Save yourself don't go there go to Walmart buy a nice pool have some pool and spa place but you're playing and if you like fishing gross not from Wister go someplace like Eufaula Dam or Texoma.there are many places to fish I mean come on if you go to fishing at Wister Lake find an old pond your chances eating the cleaner species would be in a pond possibly the pond scum. I would have said it better but you can't...

Just finished our first camping trip here on the Quarry Island 🏝️. It was supposed to be two days, we stayed one only due to heat and burnt kiddos. Haha. We met a regular that lives there he was a lovely guy. Minimalist, can appreciate. The lake was very warm. Which we loved of course. Clean spaces, the bathrooms are an " OutHouse" if you expect it to be clean your wild. Bring your own TP and bug spray you'll be fine. Our spot was so perfect we been so lucky for it to be empty, well I guess we were the crazy ones cuz it was so hot. Worth EVERY HOT 🔥 SEC!!! Why because there was no one other than the people coming to swim at the beach ⛱️ area. Now the beach is a rock beach so advised using Crocs and or water shoes of some sorts. Tons of rocks. ( Again still worth it). No one messes with us or our tent area overnight and 🚓 patrol is on point visiting, wildlife or the caretakers of Quarry Island. Thanks for making our family feel safe. Wister Lake State Park Cabins..GREAT stay! Beautiful and Serene..went for the fishing- bass and catfish- the cabin was more than expected. Full size bed(comfy), dresser, and ceiling fan..living / kitchen area- fireplace, sleeper sofa, ceiling fan, dining table, microwave, electric stove, full size refrigerator, coffee maker--bring your kitchenware and you're set!
