Blue Ridge Parkway — Attraction in Old Fort

My family loved traveling the BRP. We did about 40 miles from Asheville to Little Switzerland. We stopped at almost all the overlooks and Mount Mitchell. We wanted to take a back road to reach the BRP but 3/4 up the road it was closed off and had to add the round about way to our travel. It is a nice road to ride on but it is purely a scenic drive, you have to get off to get services, this is nice because you aren't surrounded by City.
