Sioux Passage Park has been my hometown park since 1974. This summer (2018) my husband, Patrick, is now the new Park Supervisor for the Sioux Passage cluster. He too has grown up using this park. I have recently become a volunteer at Sioux Passage to help my husband who has been a civil servant for St. Louis County Parks Department for 23 years. We want everyone to have a positive experience here. If for any reason your experience here was a different one then we would like to invite you back! We take family safety seriously and check on our park visitors often due to some areas that do not receive cell reception at this time. Please bare with the county as we are working on this issue and please know that we are watching those areas closely. We have something for everyone including a hiking trail, 🐴 horse trails, 2 playgrounds (inspected regularly ), Disc golf course, fishing, boat ramp to Missouri river, camping, picnic shelters, BBQ pits, Handicap Friendly and yes, Ladies, as long as I am here you will have the cleanest restrooms in the North Unit! If you have any problems or questions please let us know promptly so we may address any concerns you have immediately. This is a peaceful place for everyone who wants to enjoy it and we would like to take the time to thank park visitors for being so respectful of others and of nature. You Are Awesome People! If anyone would like to become a park volunteer we sure could use your help as we are low on staff at this time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Now go grab your friends and family and come have some fun at Sioux Passage...
Read moreNice big park with tennis courts, full size basketball court, disc golf and two play areas for kids. The first play area is for kids under eight. The second play ground is for kids over eight. There is a horse back trail and plenty of walking opportunities. There are three bathrooms and one porta john which is wheelchair friendly. The bathroom in the lower part is closed and has been for years. There is no reason that I know of. Most people leave the park if they have to drive to the bathrooms located towards the park entrance/exit. There bank river fishing and a boat ramp. This park is also part of the 30/30 parks. 30/30 means 30 county parks that take about 30 minutes to complete. I would rate this park higher if it wasn't for the bathroom being closed. UPDATE: the trail has not been maintained, The 30/30 sign is gone, which makes me wonder if it is still a 30/30...
Read moreI walked a portion of this park today with a friend. I had never heard of it until today, but I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. It was very peaceful and serene. This park was not crowded and full of people which I loved. There were several bathrooms and rest areas on the path we walked. We passed by two playgrounds which looked very nice for the kiddos. There were stationary bbq grills, picnic tables and pavilions as we walked that would be great for any family or group function. This area seemed safe and as we walked there was a park ranger driving slowly through. Overall, this is a park that I will definitely visit and walk again. My friend said there's an area to where the two rivers met, but the area was muddy and flooded. Hopefully next time I will be able to view it. There were several parking areas available in the park as well....
